Throughout my years in highschool I began to question my identity with God and the Queer Community. I started out as an uneducated individual in middle school full of ignorance until I was allowed, by my mother, to download Instagram for the first time in 2019. After seeing the varying perspectives from people all over, my mindset grew and shifted into something more positive and something that I could be proud of later on. 

 

I became an ally that same year, but after a while I started to question who I was. I am who God says I am, but I didn’t know who that was. I began praying and researching. I learned from reading that Christianity had been used to marginalize multiple groups of people based on biases, for control, ignorance, etc. It frightened me and I began praying more frantically to God. 

That is when I came across Queer affirming Christian pages, individuals, and more. My mother even bought me a book titled Colors of Hope, which I grew to love as I read it. Opening that book was God’s way of saying that he loves me unconditionally, and that if something is meant to be or happen in my life it will happen. After months and months of reflection, God helped me realize that I am both Nonbinary and Omnisexual. I learnt from God that my Queer identity and Queer expressions were gifts from him and not sins. 

 

Fast forwarding to the present, I was inspired by God to create and inspire. So, I did this mini fashion B.T.S. showcase featuring cosplays and high fashion as a way to reflect on my business’ goal in spreading inclusivity and positivity. I wanted to spread a message within my limited budget and deadlines that all walks of life on Earth are blessings no matter who they believe in, what race they’re, what their gender is, or who they decide to love.
